Time

Time

You are so fleeting a reality

I can't see you, yet you feel me

In my body from the moment I came

I'm dominated by you

My life is in the tick, tock of your hand

The chime of the one on the wall

Reminds me, just one day like all

I will eventually have to answer your call

I don't have far to look, to see

This body that's been given me

Amidst all the chaos that happens constantly

In a world spinning out of control

Will I ever be able to break from your hold

Some boldly welcome you prematurely

My moments hug you and I die slowly

Even also daily, one day I'll be free

This matter from dust will return

It will again be joined as one

Wedded to what I was before

To finally be free, waiting for eternity
