To Catch Time

To Catch Time

Oh how I wish time was mine

I'll choose to stay awhile and play

My youthful look forever shine

Can't get enough each passing day

If time was just all mine

I'll never worry by what I see

The fairer sex would see me fine

Even love to keep my company

Wish time was forever mine

This body given will never quit

Will age gracefully like wine

A pep in my step, so well equip

Sadly like all, time will never be mine

Though I try to hold her in my arms

She slips away, my body declines

Shirked by her, for my charms

The folly of mine to think of time, as mine

No sooner I start living in this body of mine

It fails me as others in time

May I fully live each passing day

For time as a flower, soon fades away
