Ode To Life

Ode to life

Where do I start in recall

The moment I knew me

In my awareness I felt new

Another creature amidst a sea

A sea of humanity

I am fortunate to be here

When life called out to me, I answered

Many are not, would be, if given a chance

I asked, was it fate, were they not to be

Another creature present in a sea

A sea of humanity

This life for all it offers, promises much

They can materialize in the path we choose

They can be just empty, wishful, waiting

The will as the closet waiting to be opened

And be as many others in this sea

A sea of humanity

Our only guarantee in this life is the will

Our only resource is our choice

When we marry the two, how invincible

No higher power, yea God will infringed

What we have is common as others in a sea

A sea of humanity

Life when given begs of us to nurture it

Take heed to these most precious gifts

For on these determine the life we share

The fruits that our tree will bear

That makes us unique in a sea

A sea of humanity

All life is connected, in the sea, on the land

That life in the river, the air, all breathed

The air, the breath given to all, exist to share

So, to live we need another to survive

Hence none lives alone in a sea

A sea of humanity

What I awake to every morning, a rising sun

Fall asleep into, as the sun wisk to another

I cherish every moment I have with you

Precious is your presence, my life

I want you to stay forever in a sea

A sea of humanity

All life will end, for this it reminds us

From the moment we became aware

When we grew into its preciousness

To realize as the smoke, difficult to grasp

Then only to realize how finite we are in a sea

A sea of humanity

Luminaries, bright stars, genii among us

Who like all came from a place of safety

With will and choice subject to their ordering

No sooner we came than we leave, exit

By choice, will or time, the equalizer in a sea

A sea of humanity
