So many I've known are now no more
They've gone, taken to another place
Resting in sleep like they have before
Many lived their lives at such a pace
I miss them dearly, but they don't me
For now at a better place they wait
They sleep silently, waiting to be
Eventually to rise again, fully awake
In this life a body in motion never dies
Yet it changes with time as I live in it
Life's so short, how time flies
Before I start living, this body's ready to quit
Like a flower that blooms in the morning dew
At life's sunset this body I'm in, will renew
A still small voice whispers in my ear
Lordy, Lord I hear it everywhere
It calls me every morning, out of bed
Just as all gone before, who lived here
Again they sleep, waiting for a voice, they'll hear
A change to come like no other
Unknown to all, we've waited a lifetime for this
Those we've loved, embraced, cared for
Yet A Love awaits, it reaches beyond the grave
Though separated from those we love
A change will come, when we will kiss
May we be allowed, all formed from dust
As in our change we shake it off
A voice will wake us, from the One we trust
Of all we hoped for, this will be enough
I may sleep, but I'll wait for my kiss
My change I await, in my eternal bliss
