There will be always more of you to ask

As I wonder at a world that begs me to be curious

Not settle for what I see, when there's so much to explore

Vision given to not be perfect, the unknown waiting to be grasp

A mind that I cannot see, though it's here, testifying

It bears witness to the power, presence of the invisible

Those that can't be touched yet hold me in their ever presence

Ooh foolish one to never want to know, the sweetness of life

When frowned upon by those who think I shouldn't ask

This gift to think, present wild and free, is all mine

The journey of life implores me to think fearlessly

The unknown invitingly smiles at me, to enter their realm

A slave to you, I cannot be to any other

Asked to come by, to reason, to ask why hate not love

In a world that subjugates, not wanting me to break free

Pursuing truth, I search daily, an onging life long journey

There will always be more of you to ask

As I wonder at a world, while I keep on living

When answers elude me, preferring not to come my way

I will look up and say, it's why my life was worth living

Chris G Peters were born on the most southerly gem in the necklace of islands spanning the Caribbean Sea. Here where the sun shines differently and set as though kissing the horizon, where coral reefs blooms, surf greets the sand, musical rendition of waves pounding the shore.
