Price of Love

Price Of Love

In a tender heart, fathomless

In eternity's vast field of flowers

All will come to grow, to know

Along with the blooms are no thorns

Then time would be a welcomed guest

Where a heart so splendor is selfless

In its garden all come to grow, to know

Here the blooms would have thorns

When touched evokes such pleasure

Yet can cut even caused to bleed

To take hold of this was my joy

As I held it in the palm of my hands

I will rejoice evermore at this afterall

There is beauty in pain when to gain

To purchase that of greater value

It will always be well worth the sacrifice

So it will always be to truly love

To lay it all down, even one's life

To trust that another will cherish

They will honor your open heart

Will love as the rolling sea giving selflessly

Yet in doing so, suffering will come, as joy

The pain of unfaithfulness, of rejection

They come as you open your heart

To never love is to never live

As the air we breath, so is to love

When one we love is taken away

We grieve in the hope of such loss

To never grieve is to have never loved

Feel the beauty that is life

Smell the aroma that fills the air

We will know if we live long enough
