Eternity will share it's face and lo, there is time
Certainly the latter while limited also transient
All that is of it, once covered in light
Now exchange it for darkness in sight
Eternity offered itself to be taken, to live on
Its garments within reach, just to be put on
It begs of us to wear them, be covered in light
If we do, we will never walk in darkness of night
Voices in eternity spoke, saying, "let us"
Fearfully and wonderfully made, we stood
We grasped at what we were already, in image and likeness
What was for our gain, now turned into pain
Why give up eternity for time
We gave up all that was waiting, anxiously waiting
Onlookers from afar questioned our decision
To live in the darkness of time, than in the light of eternity
