This Too Shall Pass

This too shall Pass

I often wonder why I came on this stage

Was it to perform act one, two or three

Is it to fulfill my purpose, be born free?

However within the acts of my purpose

I find much failings, disappointments, brokenness

Reaching up I realize that life is like a flower

It blooms, attracts, fades, it ends

We can learn so much from what's around us

Lessons from nature are taught every where, every day,

Will I be her student, intent, focused?

The secrets of life often depends on

The acts of my purpose

For until that which was meant to be is achieved

There'll always be this desire to stay on the stage

While lights are on, the scenes go on

It is for you to know when this act ends

When the curtains come down

To know what became must leave life's stage

For another act to perform and fullfil its purpose

If I had my way, I would stay to finish life's play

Fulfilling my destiny, my history, my story

Come go with me if you can, hold my hand

As I walk through this land, like a song

Time is not on my side for long

Life is more than a script, a scene, an act, even a play

It's for me to say, "lights out, curtains come down"

May I live to see another day
