When This Space

When This Space

The dearest part of me, to love even more

I'll inflict pain in weakness, run away to hide

Fear now is here, no joy like before

Dare not expressed, I'll keep it all inside

A life can be lived with so much joy

Still there come veiled in awful pain

The sun will shine its heat deploy

After comes the pouring rain

That which I love most, will one day leave

This stage of life which once I cleave

Then to fondly remember when

I lived and loved a long-lost friend

The moment I took my first breath at life

A world awaits me ripe with strife

Death greets me as my life depart

End a journey of my beating heart

A day at dawn can echo much joy

The next with stress will dare to annoy

Life and death I live with them

Embraced am I as at the end

Chris G Peters were born on the most southerly gem in the necklace of islands spanning the Caribbean Sea. Here where the sun shines differently and set as though kissing the horizon, where coral reefs blooms, surf greets the sand, musical rendition of waves pounding the shore. A salty mist is in the air and the verdant beauty of nature abounds everywhere. Learn more.
