My Purpose

My Purpose

Awake out of slumber, place my feet on the floor

Lift my heart towards heaven, to the One I adore

Just outside my door, a world awaits for me to explore

To do something more, than the day before

With bated breath she anticipates I'll learn from the past

Won't make the same mistakes, time goes fast, this could be my last

Eternity knows in an Eternal Mind, so sublime, that thought of me

A purpose was placed, if lived, would make me free

It has no beginning, nor will it end

It's been there along with me, waiting to be conceived

Arms outstretched, reached out to embrace as a friend

In my life, if lived as planned, there's nothing I can't achieved

Staring at me this very moment, this very day

What will I do, rather what will I say

Someone along life's path is eagerly waiting

In my purpose, in my living, I'll take on this day

My purpose I'll live, come what may.
