This Mist, This Fog, This Haze

This Mist, This Fog, This Haze

The light hit these eyes like all before

All present as well, as all to come will see

At day's dawn when a presence at life's door

Enters to show a world all it can be

Formed while still in darkness it touches all

In its paths are trees, hills mountains and vales

Try as we can to hold, it's hard to recall

Everywhere you hug is alive to tell your tales

This mist, this fog, this haze will not last long

Its essence slowly gives way to the light of day

When nature's frown, that you won't prolong

Your time while special, will not forever stay

You went high and low, so that a world well knows

An excitement that came with much delirium

As on everything you touched it just shows

Glistening in the light, rainbows abound, we welcome

This mist, this fog, this haze, that was everywhere

Now that the light has hit these eyes that close

Will now live no more in despair, but sleeps without a care

Today they were here, now they're gone; what a life they chose
