As dawn's eyes opened, while the presence of night acquiesced
A freshness eagerly reveals an exotic textured dress
Attracted by what was seen in this first light of hope
The hands of time diligently moved, as many awoke
Days and nights not for shyness, delighted to appear
Constellations asked to be born, entertained, and even anxiously share
Petals opened, revealed colors for only certain eyes to see
As the air, diffused a scented aroma, it gladly offered willingly
When life was first presented, a treasured gift was poured
Into all it came, a deluge, that remained in one accord
In light and rain, colors wrapped in textures appeared everywhere
Where fields of lush life, a world looked on in wonderment here
In this virginity of youth, we found ourselves tossed by the wind
Not worried by the hands of time, we felt on our skin
The ambrosial perfume of our innocence would soon be lost
Never to be reclaimed to a state of being, that showed the cost
In an earth below where valleys grew, and rivers flowed
A multitude was born from inchoate seeds that waited to be sowed
There we were sustained to be our brightest and best
In fields where many deserving lives, found sweet rest
This garment we wore when touched, even willingly embraced
Many wondered with admiration, for all of time and space
When all was radiant new, there we unfolded into view
See varied colors, torns of strength about us were in you
Visitors came to greet us at our opening, intent to drink
In our pollination, we would like to be worshiped, or so we think
Yet, no sooner we faded, like at dawn of another fine day
As our visitors, we sooner wilted, as all that we were, blew away
