A Space In Time

This space unlike any other

Given to me and only mine

Lived so well like no other

Moments here one of a kind

This space was made for me

The only one I'll ever know

Prepared in time for eternity

It's in me wherever I go

This space occupies me

Ever present as a shadow

All-consuming air I breathe

Every moment it's me, it shows

This space welcomes me this way

Clasp its hands in joy

Unseen worlds bend low to say

This handywork our task employ

This space will soon give me up

Another dimension eagerly awaits

My welcome in time slowly stops

Joyfully this space, I will finally escape

This space in which I lived

The one that lived in time

May one day gladly say, "you were mine"

Chris G Peters were born on the most southerly gem in the necklace of islands spanning the Caribbean Sea. Here where the sun shines differently and set as though kissing the horizon, where coral reefs blooms, surf greets the sand, musical rendition of waves pounding the shore. A salty mist is in the air and the verdant beauty of nature abounds everywhere. Learn more.
