Today, I Think

Today, I think

What will I do in this classroom of life

Among other students, here I sit

I will look around and see our oneness

In here we'll learn the lessons of life

Will I be bold enough to ask questions

Inquiries that come from a curious mind

Wonder what will be the response of the class

Will a question I asked be one of a kind

Maybe the teacher, will respond with aghast

A question my innocent mind thought to ask

With a confused look, maybe he'll say,"kid I'll pass"

As standing there amidst chuckles and laughs

See; learning comes by asking questions

Tough ones coming, from a student's heart

In this classroom of life with its joys and pains

A sun still smiles, when clouds cry rain

Greatest of lessons learnt, is that to think

Where imaginations and dreams kissed

Hearts flutter as from fountains I drink

Oblivious am I to conversations missed

Much joyful sounds come from outside

A playground close by as innocent minds

On still objects they joyously slide even ride

Here inside I ponder what thoughts I find

If happily encourage to explore, wanting more

In my mind's eyes a world waits at my door

Challenge, stimulate me to look beyond

I raised my hand, and ask you teacher, "Why"?
