A Mother

A Mother

Where would I be without you

A lifetime I look at you, look to you

In my heart I can never love another

No not another like you

In my every waking moment

When my eyes were wide shot

I feel your eyes towards me

Even when I'm near or far

I'm always safe knowing you care

Like no other, even in my despair

You look at me as if right through my soul

Our eyes locked, I knew this will last a lifetime

Smile and says by your eyes, your smile

I love you, with a love untold

When helplessly defenseless, you're there

Ever encouraging, never to fear

Startled at nights by your prayer over me

Blessed my soul, whatever it be

Cause mother's in my corner, looking out for me

I blessed the day when mothers came

Touched our lives in every way

Where would we be without you

A world without a mother
