Reality

Reality

There is more out here than what we see

Silently we know they're here, in fact everywhere

We feel the eyes of them, a multitude watching over us

To touch them, we would dare, even truly care

There is more out there than we would dare to care

Silently whisper to us, but with our ears we dare not hear

Inside our frame we don't see, yet all day long it keeps us

A mind that can't be touched, here with us, as to be in trust

There is matter seen and unseen by eyes of lesser vision

A silent, constant presence, felt by all, that of change in all dimension

Held on earth by forces we know not of, nor even comprehend

A higher order beyond all that is seen, felt experienced, apprehend

There is that beyond what is known, held together all that is known

Limited to time and space, our bodies here, we can't claim as our own

Reaching out to understand in vain would come any closer

It is not given to that of time to know that higher order

There is that which obey the other, even when confronted

Where form preceded function as bodies once presented

Returned from death's restful sleep, where we were subjects to

Of time, where moments shared by all, fall short by what we only knew

There is still so much to be known, if as in a night of sleep we would surrender

If to admit, a body while given to us, is unfit for what waits over yonder

In our prevarication, questions of what lies beyond reigns

That of time, locked in by it, seek answers amidst much pains

There is more to us than we would care to admit

Known before, allowed to take on garments of flesh, uniquely fit

To vacation here for a while, in hope to return again

See beauty, love, hope in each other, lines of our lives in refrain

There is that which speak, if we would care to listen

Not immerse ourselves in prognostications once given

Defy all that constrain us to what is known, now reach for the unknown

Greater still is one who view dimly, await anxiously to be shown
